What is RAF?

RAF is an acronym for Root Aid Foundation is an African non-profit organization founded in 2020. Its main focus is to help Africans especially those in rural areas to overcome poverty and maintain sustainable environment.

What is/are RAF main objectives?

RAF focuses on alleviating poverty by encouraging inclusive education and empowering through skills acquisition programs and sensitizing Africans on the impact of maintaining a sustainable environment.

Who is RAFA?

RAFA means Root Aid Foundation Awardee. A RAFA is  a  beneficiary of the RAF.

 How does RAF select awardees?

RAF selects its awardee based on the guidelines of  the competitions, scholarships and general welfare situations of the individuals and communities in Africa.

Does RAF have any political/religious affiliations?

RAF has no political or religious affiliations.  Our supporters and volunteers hold different beliefs and culture. However, we all share the same goal.

How does RAF get funded?

RAF gets funded by private individuals,  and  business organizations.

How do I donate?

Cash donations can be made through the website or Payment Link

Physical items can be donated by contacting us via email (info@rootaidfoundation.org) and our social media platforms (Youtube, Facebook and instagram).  This aids us make necessary arrangement for the collection.

What type of donations does RAF receive from donors?

Cash gift, food items and new or fairly used personal items(clothes, books, shoes, electronic devices, and furniture) are accepted as donations.

How do I volunteer ?

Volunteers are needed from all African countries and can apply through Volunteer Form on the website or send us an email indicating interest in the role. 

What are my benefits as a volunteer ?

As a volunteer:

• You get a reference letter for working with us.
• You get stipend and/or branded gifts for helping out in major activities.
• You benefit from travelling to different locations.

How do I claim free products on RAF?

 Make a request on the website or contact us. RAF items are  given out for free. Collection of this item is free while delivery  cost applies to delivery option

What should I do when I get an email asking for my personal details and offering money from RAF?

If you receive such email, kindly confirm if the email address of the sender is the same with RAF's email which is shown on  Contact Us menu on the foundation's website before responding to it.
